Who am I?
Angela Shak understands, at a deep and personal level, the demands of a high-performance life. After a 20-year career in the banking industry—defined by long hours, constant pressure, and a sedentary routine—she experienced firsthand the toll it can take on both mental and physical well-being. What began as a search for relief from anxiety and burnout became a profound turning point when she discovered yoga.
That single step onto the mat evolved into a transformative journey. Angela went on to earn her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification through an immersive training in Costa Rica, complementing her Master of Science in Innovation and Technology and Project Management Professional credential. As her practice deepened, she felt called to expand beyond movement alone, exploring the powerful connection between breath, body, and mind. She is currently pursuing her 450-hour breathwork facilitator certification, further refining her ability to guide others through deeply restorative and transformative breathwork experiences.
Through Shakra Flow, Angela integrates yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness into thoughtfully curated offerings designed to support modern lives. Her approach is grounded, accessible, and intentional—creating space for individuals to regulate their nervous systems, release stored stress, and reconnect with a sense of clarity and calm. Drawing from both her corporate background and personal healing journey, she brings a unique perspective that resonates with those navigating the demands of ambitious, fast-paced lifestyles.
Based in Allen, Texas, where she lives with her husband, two children, and two Chinese Crested dogs. Angela is committed to making these practices approachable without compromising their depth. Her work is rooted in the belief that wellness is not a luxury, but a necessity—and that even the smallest moments of pause can lead to meaningful transformation.
Angela’s mission is to guide others back to themselves—through breath, through movement, and through the quiet power of presence.
